During winter when food becomes scarce the foxes will often follow polar bears around hoping to scavenge what they can from a kill once the bear is done. In this case, the fox didn’t receive his bounty from a polar bear but rather from a pack of wolves. The wolves had killed a caribou nearby and the fox ceased the opportunity to get as much of the scraps as he could carry. This image was taken in Wapusk National Park, in Manitoba, Canada.
